|Class of 1974|
Phil Winans, Anne St. Sauveaur Hulse and myself (Charlene Hayes Reynolds) attended the SHS alumni banquet. I was sitting at the headtable, as I am currently serving as Second Vice-President of the Alumni Association, but Anne and Phil (along with Phil’s wife and Anne’s sister, Laurie) had a good time. We did have some time to visit that evening and of course, our main topic of conversation was how to get more people to attend the SHS banquet and our class reunions. After the banquet I sent out emails to those class members I have addresses for looking for thoughts and ideas about the topic, but only received a small response.
The Class has a very SMALL amount in the bank at this point in time. It is only 2 years until the next reunion and without an influx of funds we won’t be able to do much without strapping the class members with the bulk of the cost.
We need to figure out a way or multiple ways to raise some money. With that, we need to have someone that will take on the job of the fundraiser. Please contact me if you have any ideas or thoughts.
We also need to be thinking of what we want to do for a 35th reunion. We had a very small turnout for the 30th, and would like to find a way to increase the number so that more class members will attend.
So…..here’s hoping that all of you remain well. That your children, grandchildren and spouses/significant others are well too. Congratulations to any new grandparents! Congratulations to those class members that have found LOVE for the first time or the second or even third time…..and tied the knot (like me!) in 2006.
Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org with comments, thoughts or news to share with classmates. Please also contact me with other classmembers email addresses so that we can add them to the list.
